Ceramic with tradition and a future

Duravit has long been associated with high-quality sanitary ceramic – a material with a long history and durable characteristics. Ceramic’s appeal lies in its manufacture from natural materials, high robustness, and longevity – ideal for applications such as washbasins and toilets. Thanks to scratch- and abrasion-resistant, easy-clean, and light and heat-resistant surfaces, ceramic meets the highest requirements in everyday bathroom use. Innovative materials such as DuraCeram® combine elegant design with a high degree of robustness, while optimized manufacturing processes reduce the use of raw materials and carbon emissions. Additional finishing touches such as the DuraShield® 2-in-1 protective glaze guarantee not only long-lasting functionality and timeless aesthetics, but also make an active contribution to increased hygiene and safety.


Bathroom furniture with resilience

Moisture is one of the greatest challenges in the bathroom, which Duravit tackles by deploying selected, high-quality materials and structural design features: laminated panels, real-wood veneers, high-quality lacquers, water-repellent ABS edges bonded with a water-resistant PU adhesive, as well as certified hardware are machined in conjunction with longstanding partners. The surfaces are resistant to scratches, warping, mold formation, and high humidity.
The furniture is tested under extreme conditions in the in-house climatic chamber. Additionally, drawers and hinges are required to withstand up to 80,000 opening cycles. Furniture is manufactured in the PEFC-certified plant in Schenkenzell (PEFC/04-31-2357), which satisfies the highest environmental and energy-efficiency standards. Each piece of furniture is subjected to a full quality inspection – for functionality, finishing, and surface quality.


Durable faucets – intelligent water consumption

Duravit faucets combine precise technical functionality, durable materials, and sustainable technologies. They are made from robust brass and are equipped with low-maintenance ceramic cartridges. PVD-coated surfaces increase scratch-resistance and provide reliable protection against corrosion – including in case of intensive use and regular cleaning.
Prior to market launch, all faucets undergo extensive endurance tests to ensure washing comfort and functionality over their entire lifecycle. Features such as FreshStart and MinusFlow save energy and reduce water consumption – with no compromises in terms of user comfort. AirPlus technology additionally ensures a fuller and pleasantly gentle water jet. Consequently, the faucets are not only functional, but also have long-lasting visual appeal – and seamlessly fit into a bathroom design geared toward quality, sustainability, and longevity.

Lifetime guarantee on ceramic products

Duravit stands by the outstanding quality of its ceramic products and offers a lifetime guarantee on them. End customers can register their Duravit ceramic products up to three months after purchase online and obtain a personal certificate. In the event of a material, manufacturing, or construction fault, it is similarly possible to make the warranty claim online. Duravit will bear the costs of installation and removal of the product in question.


Five-year guarantee on selected products

Duravit grants a voluntary warranty of five years on selected products such as sanitary ceramic, bathtubs and shower trays (excluding whirltubs), toilet seats (except shower-toilets and adaptable shower-toilet seats), installation systems, bathroom furniture and accessories. This guarantee covers material, manufacturing, and construction defects.
Duravit offers a voluntary five-year guarantee on all faucets and shower sprays. Spare parts are kept available for a whole 15 years after each product line is discontinued.
