Duravit sustainability report
Duravit AG has presented its third sustainability report, which has been drawn up in accordance with the G4 guidelines of the internationally recognized Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Special mention in this reporting period goes to the achievement of a recycling rate of 100 percent and a 60 percent increase in expenditure on environmental protection.
By creating the new position of “Health, security, environment and technical risk Manager” at the start of 2017, the designer-bathroom manufacturer further underlined the significance of sustainability issues for the company.
Duravit was also recently awarded the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) by the Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V. for the DuraSolid® product group.
Thomas Stammel, Chief Technical Officer at Duravit AG, said, “This update of our sustainability report and the EPD award for DuraSolid® underline our pioneering role in the sector. This means we can offer our customers security and transparency, and we’re also making a key contribution to sustainable building.”
By participating in recognized testing and certification systems as well as membership in relevant associations, Duravit is securing the latest status of industrial standards for all sites with certification pursuant to ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO 9001.
Since 2011, sustainability reporting at Duravit has complied with the G4 guidelines of the internationally recognized Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). This enables a standardized approach to reporting about economic, ecological, social and governance-related performance.
