Duravit's annual report establishes transparency on progress, measures and goals in the area of sustainability. The report adheres to the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and also complies comprehensively with the requirements of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD*). The basis for the report is provided by the double materiality assessment, together with the data collection software from Tanso.
The report covers all manufacturing facilities of the Duravit Group, includes an ESRS index and is focused on the five central action areas – climate, water, people, resources, and governance – which provide the strategic framework for concrete measures along the entire value chain.
Sustainability is firmly embedded in Duravit's corporate strategy and forms an integral element of the company's global business development. The aim is to systematically interlink ecological, social and economic responsibility and to drive the transformation process forward towards climate neutrality. The commissioning of the new production facility in Matane, Canada, marked a concrete advance towards this aim in the reporting year of 2025. In pursuit of low-emission production, Duravit is deploying electric roller kilns here which are powered almost entirely by hydroelectric energy. In parallel with these efforts, the company is continuously developing its governance and control processes and its stakeholder dialog in order to meet the requirements pertaining to CSRD reporting, which will become mandatory as of reporting year 2027.
