The new furniture washbasins designed for Duravit by Patricia Urquiola add a further highlight to the Balcoon bathroom range. Four widths – from 600 to 1300 mm – open up a wealth of planning options to accommodate different needs. For private bathrooms or high-end project business, the basins offer solutions that set new standards in both functionality and design.
The furniture washbasins are available in three expressive color variants: classic White, stylish Matt White and Clay Terra Matt – a warm terracotta shade that lends the bathroom a special air which is natural and modern in one.

Patricia Urquiola describes the Balcoon range as a study in interactions between different volumes and levels which lends the room a singular dynamism. The furniture washbasins take the form of all-ceramic monolithic cuboids. The basin is seamlessly integrated into the clear-lined design which defines the overall shaping of the unit, with a narrow rim describing the outline and establishing a gentle transition from the level surface to the recess. This signature detail lends the design its special air of subtle sophistication. The generously sized vanity surface underscores the calm, clear appearance and emphasizes the architectural aura of the washbasin, whose timeless design puts a special stamp on a modern bathroom.


Aesthetic design with added value

The Balcoon washing area solutions combine the precision design of the furniture washbasins with a well-conceived furniture concept. This allows storage solutions featuring either a plain drawer front or a drawer above an open, symmetrically divided compartment. The semi-tall cabinet continues this design idea, offering additional storage space behind a hinged door while the symmetrically designed open compartment below takes up the lines of the vanity units.
Textured surfaces and a natural color scheme lend the furniture elements warmth and authenticity. Different materials and shades of White, earthy Brown and Anthracite provide scope for individual solutions. The matching faucets in Chrome, brushed stainless steel or Matt Black fit seamlessly into this harmonious overall impression. The round mirror with integrated lighting adds the finishing touch, underscoring the refined elegance of the overall design.
